The basic idea behind it was to promote eco-friendly cube boxes for consumers. To promote a green and healthy environment, Tesco took an action to remove redundant and toxic waste. They aim to recycle soft and flexible plastic and use it for safe food-grade packaging.

The value chain coupled together and worked wonders on this new, yet optimistic packaging invention.

By partnering up with these brands, the formation of food-grade soft plastic packaging happened. Although a few trials were conducted before successfully carrying them out in the implementation phase. 

The Reason?

What seems to be the reason behind this idea? As positive as it sounds, what forced the researchers to act upon this idea? 

To promote a green and healthy environment.

The head of TESCO, James Bull, said in his presser that we needed to work on something that ensured a safe and green environment. He added that TESCO’s aim is to remove excessive and non-recyclable materials and replace them with eco-friendly food-grade materials. 

What to take from it?

After all the toxic waste has been created through plastic, the packaging companies had to take an initiative to eliminate it. The constant harm created by plastic was harming the environment, hence leading to an unsafe and unhealthy environment.
